[dash-dev] Maven Repos

If you are accessing any external maven repos besides maven central and
Sonatype OSS please let us know on
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=351124 . We are setting
up maven.eclipse.org to act as a proxy to any external repos. The goal
is to have all maven builds use maven.eclipse.org to obtain their artifacts.

We will be setting up a settings.xml file with the necessary mirror
redirection once we have the majority of the repos we need setup. This
should help the foundation with bandwidth, and also help with
accessibility of your eclipse.org builds.

We will also be planning to work out deploying of Snapshots and Releases
to maven.eclipse.org, but first we want to get the necessary mirrors setup.

Hi everysone,

Just a small update: I'm still alive but as usual, too much to do and
too little time. The good news is that I need the tools for my work at
Avanon, so I have an excuse to spend a couple of hours tweaking them
every now and then.

My tools work for me but there are a couple of problems that others
care about (I've opened several issues on bugzilla to track them).

Since people seem to be wary with Python, I started to reimplement the
tool chain in Groovy. So far, I converted m4e-import and the resulting
code is about as fast to write as the Python version.
